Abstract

As more and more maps are being prepared for display on CRTs, our need for a method to convert them into printable or slide form is increasing. A screen capture of the image can be manipulated in PhotoShop to select appropriate colors. A finishing program such as Free Hand can be used for adding high-quality lettering, placing appropriately on the page, and creating color separations or a slide file. Different applications require creativity in solving specific problems, but the method is versatile and easy to apply.
